As of 1 January 2020, the use of refrigerants with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of more than 2,500 are banned in new systems. From 2030, such refrigerants may also no longer be used in existing systems. This ban includes R-404A, which is currently the most used refrigerant in climate test chambers, that has a GWP value of 3,900.

Clime-Event uses refrigerant R-449A and has GWP value of just 1,397. It has low global warming potential and will enable long-term operation even beyond 2030. This test chamber has an intelligently designed air guidance that comes with a supply and exhaust air control system fitted as standard. It ensures consistent test conditions in terms of time and space and in doing so, provides users with reliable test results. With its new Web-Season user interface, the chambers are also setting standards in usability and connectivity. The test chambers can be programmed, controlled and can be read via smartphones, tablets and PCs.

Clime-Event comes in twelve different basic models with test chamber volumes between 180 L and 2,000 L. Depending on the model, they are suitable for temperature tests from -72 to + 180 °C and climate tests from +10 to +95 %RH.

Weisstechnik will be showcasing Climate-Event in hall 4, booth 4111.
