DMG Mori Efficient shape technology for injection tools
Switzerland – The recently introduced Lasertec 45 Shape as the follow-up model of DMG Mori's Lasertec 40 Shape features an 80% larger work area on the same footprint, DMG Mori claims.
Travel and load capacity have also been increased. The 5-axis version accommodates components of up to ø 300 mm x 200 mm and weights of 100 kg, the company says. The A-axis has a swivel range of -100° to +120°.
The technical highlight is said to be the interaction of precision optics - consisting of a laser head with the latest scanner optics technology and a CCD camera - and the dynamic deflection mirrors. The boost in performance goes on to include the dynamics, the machine tool maker says: the Lasertec 45 Shape's rapid traverses of 60 m/min are more than 3-times faster than those of its predecessor.
