One of the West Midlands’ leading manufacturers enjoyed a double triumph at the national Engineering & Manufacturing Awards. PP Control & Automation’s Tony Hague took the main honour of the evening when he beat off the challenge of some of the UK’s most influential bosses to win the Industry Leader of the Year title.

PP Control & Automation (PP C&A) has won two major awards at the national Engineering & Manufacturing Awards. Tony Hague, CEO of PP C&A, was awarded the Industry Leader of the Year title in recognition of his influential leadership in transforming the business since 2003. Under his leadership, the company has grown from three million pounds turnover with 27 employees to a projected 30 million pounds turnover with over 230 employees. Sophie Young, an engineering graduate at PP C&A, was honoured as a Rising Star. Having joined the company in September 2021, Young has quickly developed her skills and made notable improvements to production processes and efficiency. Both Hague and Young credited the supportive team at PP C&A for their respective achievements.
