A special geometry is said to guarantee low chip formation, and optimal chip removal is also important in deep-hole drilling, the supplier explains. All of this is reportedly offered by Inovatools' pilot and deep-hole drills.

The front geometry with a 140° point angle is necessary for optimal centering of the drill and short chip-breaking, the company says. Large chip grooves transport the small chips quickly and safely up from the depths. The design features reduce the feed force and, in combination with a high-performance coating, tool wear.

The deep-hole drill is available in diameters of 1 mm to 20 mm and in lengths of 8 x D to 30 x D. Drills of up to 50 x D can be made to order.
