Hedelius Debut for compact, high-performance machining centre

Germany – Hedelius will launch the first model of its new 5-axis range Acura at AMB 2016. Acura 65 features a rotary/tilt table and a base area of 2680 mm x 2850 mm.
The face plate of the rotary/tilt table unit has been moved forward for enhanced accessibility of the workpiece.

The compact machine offers large travels of 700 mm x 650 mm x 600 mm in the x/y/z axes, respectively. Workpieces of up to 500 kg can be clamped on the Ø 650 x 540 mm rotary/tilt table unit, the company says.
The hydraulic, pneumatic, central lubrication system, electrical cabinet and cooling units are fully integrated into the machine panelling and are accessible from the right-hand side. With a height of 845 mm, the machine table is designed for easy accessibility, Hedelius adds. The working area of the Acura 65 is completely enclosed to ensure a clean working environment.
The standard machine has a tool capacity of 65, which can be increased by up to an additional 190 tools. The CNC terminal has a Heidenhain TNC 640, a 19” screen, a full CNC keyboard and an override potentiometer.
