The Compact Coring Unit from Cumsa is engineered to create small holes and intricate details on the side walls of plastic parts. Just like the Core Cam (UC), the Compact Coring Unit (UA) is actuated using standard market springs, providing retraction forces of 40 kg for the UC and 7 kg for the UA. The stroke lengths are 4.5 mm for the UC and 4 mm for the UA.

The Core Cam unit offers versatile placement options within the mould, allowing for flexible integration. In contrast, the Compact Coring unit requires installation from the outside of the plate and must be attached laterally. This design ensures that the UA is fully accessible from outside the mould, simplifying maintenance and adjustments.

These units boast several key features and advantages. The one plate installation minimizes space requirements and enables vertical straight machining. Additionally, there is no need for adjustments between the core and cavity plates, streamlining the setup process. The UA unit is fully accessible from the outside of the mould, facilitating easy maintenance and replacement. Both units can be easily replaced and maintained from the parting line, reducing downtime and maintenance efforts. The UC unit functions independently on the core plate, with adjustments needed only for the pin. The use of standard market springs ensures that maintenance is straightforward and that replacement parts are readily available.
