The Canada-based headquarters facility of Creaform,: a specialist in 3D portable optical measurement technologies and 3D engineering services, was awarded the ISO 9001:2008 certification for quality management in November 2011 following an audit by Intertek. The certification covers R&D, production and technical support functions.

“After 10 years of accelerated growth and innovation, we felt it was time to ensure the quality of our products and services and the satisfaction of our clientele through a formal, organized and recognized system,” explains Marco St-Pierre, vice president of innovation and technologies and the quality representative at Creaform. “We spent the last months implementing a quality management system (QMS) throughout the head office, which reflects the continuous commitment of our employees to high quality and thoroughness.”

By taking a preventative approach via its rules and regulations, Creaform’s management and staff undertake to meet the standards of the company’s quality management system while continually striving to make it more efficient, with a view to ensuring total customer satisfaction. This is the company’s quality policy. Creaform’s QMS reflects the interconnectedness of its processes and allows for ongoing improvement according to the PDCA (plan-do-check-act) management principle.
