According to the supplier, the Rheo-Pro Black Box actuators and second generation iVG internal valve gate nozzles can operate at high temperatures of up to 450°C (850°F) directly inside the mould without seal wear or cooling. This durable type of actuator offers high gate quality, precision pin movement, as well as powerful shut-off force in a compact form, the company says.

Furthermore, the modular actuator units are said to provide tool makers with design flexibility for all hot runner moulds, including back-to-back stack moulds.

According to MHS, all components are engineered to enable easy retrofits and upgrades to existing systems running with conventional actuators.
