The servo motors used on Mitsubishi Electric CNCs for high-speed machining applications are now available with improved torque characteristics, which can deliver significant reductions in power consumption, the company said.

According to Mitsubishi, the compact high-tech components and Mitsubishi Electric power devices play an important role in energy conservation, providing reliable and efficient power and motor control systems and cooling elements. Nanometer-scale numerical control technology is also incorporated in the unit.

By adopting Mitsubishi Electric CNCs and integrating them as part of Mitsubishi’s ‘e&eco-F@ctory’ concept for advanced production systems, users can significantly lower their energy consumption, according to the supplier.
