Workholding Clamp acts as ‘third hand’ to secure parts for finishing
Strong Hand Tools has introduced the Third Hand Modular Clamp, a fully articulated, fully adjustable clamp said to be for holding parts in any position.
Two smooth ball joints allow users to rotate the clamp arm 360° and bend the arm to any position for full access to parts during tack welding, repair, inspection, or finishing processes, the company said. Turning socket head cap screws locks and unlocks the clamp.
The clamp is portable enough for use throughout the shop and in the field. The universal C-Clamp base allows for mounting on any flat, square, or angled surface, the company said.
Mounting the device’s shaft to the C-clamp base either vertically or horizontally adds options for positioning and clamping. Users can place parts or stock directly in the slotted adaptor head, or add other devices for holding irregular shaped, square, flat, or angled stock.
