WNT Group Ceratizit expands into Scandinavia, establishes WNT subsidiary
Carbide specialist Ceratizit has extended its international presence with the establishment of a WNT subsidiary in Sweden, through which the company is providing metal-cutting tools directly to customers throughout Scandinavia beginning 1 May.
The WNT group of companies, headquartered in Kempten, Germany, now has subsidiaries in 15 European countries in this year of its 25th anniversary. WNT is part of the international Ceratizit group.
Based in Stenungsund near Gothenburg, WNT Scandinavia AB will supply precision tools to metal-cutting manufacturers. “The continued expansion of WNT shows yet again the diversity and progressiveness of the Ceratizit group,” explained Thierry Wolter, member of the board of the Ceratizit group. “This applies both to our products and to new markets, regions, sectors, industries and customers.”
Lars Strungat, the sales manager at WNT Scandinavia, has more than 15 years of experience in the Scandinavian metal-cutting industry. He is enthusiastic about the establishment of a local subsidiary, which will be able to provide high levels of individualised service to regional customers. “When our Swedish catalogue is published on 1 June 2012, our full range of products will be available to the Scandinavian market for the first time,” he remarked.
Claude Sun, managing director of the WNT group, noted that the company can deliver orders from its range of 45,000-plus precision tools to customers in Scandinavia within 24 hours. WNT is aiming to achieve 99% availability. The company will have a team of experienced engineers on hand in Stenungsund to provide customer support.
