Meusburger Carbide blocks offer low wear and fracture toughness

Austria –Meusburger now offers NE-Blocks made of carbide for eroding, which is said to offer a compromise between wear resistance and fracture toughness.

The CF-H40S+ carbide with a hardness of 1400 HV10 ensures long service life, high wear resistance and good edge stability, the company says. Its fine/medium grit blocks allow for reliable machining of complex and filigree mould and die geometries. Their high corrosion resistance are good for wire EDM as well. The blocks comply with the mechanical and physical requirements in mould and die making and are available from stock in 100 mm x 100 mm sizes with thicknesses from 10 to 60 mm.
