Tebis' presence at this year's EMO is marked by the current personnel challenges the industry faces. The CAD/CAM provider aims to compensate these shortcomings.

Tebis will be presenting software news and other topics to visitors at EMO. An integral part of this year's trade fair concept are the customised manufacturing processes, which can assist the industry to compensate for the growing lack of qualified personnel.

“The challenges confronting the industry over the past several years are significant,” says Bernhard Rindfleisch, Tebis AG founder and chairman of the board. He ex-plains: “Market conditions have become a lot more challenging. Many family-operated businesses will soon be passed to the next generation, and qualified personnel are becoming increasingly scarce everywhere. In addition, the classic manufacturing professions are changing due to the effects of digitalisation, as are the actual manufacturing processes. With this in mind, we offer solutions to execute the entire manufacturing process more efficiently. Furthermore, Tebis allows the company's existing manufacturing environment and knowledge to be digitally stored in templates and easily accessible.” Tebis will be presenting several corresponding case studies and solution packages for users at EMO this year. In addition, the following elements of Tebis’ CAD/CAM/MES software will be shown:

Tebis replaces conventional, repetitive manual programming steps with automated access to stored information: The application evaluates the digital CAD model of the part and accesses structured stored representations of the company's existing manufacturing environment and knowledge stored in templates to calculate the NC programs, the company explains. This means that the NCSets, features and Job Manager contain proven manufacturing knowledge.

Virtual machines correspond to real machines and account for parameters such as kinematics and operating space.

A new feature is the process library, in which Tebis combines the digital twins of all clamping devices in a single environment. Users quickly define the clamping situation, based on the library, and can check it for feasibility and collisions throughout the entire NC programming process.

The digital twins of the machines, tools and clamping devices that exist within the company provide not only speed but also reliability. They enable reliable unattended manufacturing for the customer.
