Vericut is a CNC simulation software that allows companies to simulate their machining processes and correct errors in their NC programs before running the actual machines. The latest iteration, Vericut 9.4, aims to improve connectivity between the physical machine and its virtual simulation.

The software now includes a CNC Machine Monitoring module that enables direct connectivity to CNC machines. This feature enables real-time, live streaming data that provides insight into various aspects of machine operation on the shop floor.

In addition, the CNC Precheck application has been introduced as a standalone feature. It allows machine operators to validate key elements of their machine setup to ensure consistency with what has been verified in Vericut, helping to identify and resolve any discrepancies before machine operation begins.

Other updates include enhancements to the free Vericut Reviewer application, which allows internal stakeholders such as machinists, engineers and quality assurance teams to review NC programmes before they are run on actual machines.

The software's optimisation capabilities have also been enhanced to make it easier and faster to optimise NC programs. The new features allow users to import cutting data and cutting tool assemblies from various vendor sites and databases such as Machining Cloud, TDM, Zoller and others.

Finally, Vericut 9.4 includes enhanced support for Multi-Tool Stations (MTS), a new interface for Tools United (providing access to tool and cutting data from over 40 manufacturers), and expanded tool data options such as the inclusion of HSS and ceramic cutters as well as knurled cutters.
