With the acquisition of the former Promens facilities in the Netherlands and Estonia, Sapa expands into Northern and Western Europe. The facilities have been acquired from Berry Global, a global leader in packaging and engineered materials. The two plants achieved a total turnover of 105 million euros for the year ended September 2023 and employ over 600 people. Following Sapa’s recent acquisition in Spain and Morocco, this represents an investment to expand into the world of trucks.

With this acquisition, Sapa bolsters its presence with major customers including Volvo, Scania and Daimler Truck. This marks a significant course of customer, product, and geographic diversification, aimed at creating an increasingly robust Group.

A key aspect of this growth and expansion is the introduction of the One-Shot method in the truck sector. The company’s One-Shot technology allows the production of plastic components for commercial vehicles in a single process, improving efficiency, sustainability, and quality for both electric and internal combustion engine vehicles.
