Under the motto ‘AI Autonomous Manufacturing Meets Talent’, SIMTOS aims to be more than just a traditional manufacturing trade fair. According to the organisers, it will serve as a comprehensive global platform for presenting forward-looking manufacturing concepts. These include robotics, automation systems, AI-based digital twins and smart factory solutions. It also offers an in-depth overview of global trends in the manufacturing industry.

The 21st edition of the trade fair is expected to welcome over 1,300 exhibitors from 35 countries. Around 100,000 trade visitors are expected, including over 5,000 international buyers, underlining the importance of the trade fair as one of the most influential platforms in Asia. The entire value chain will be represented in five halls. The trade fair will be complemented by the special exhibition M.A.D.E. in SIMTOS, which focuses on robotics and digital manufacturing.

However, the centrepiece of the show in Korea will be the machining hall, which also houses tool and mould making. According to reports, everything from milling to turning and grinding that can serve global trends will be on display there.

There will also be a hall for materials, components and controls, with exhibits including spindles, bearings, ball screws, linear guides, gearboxes, motors and drives, as well as NC controls and cooling, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

The next hall is dedicated to process optimisation and quality improvement. It brings together cutting tools and measurement systems for stable and efficient production under one roof.

Another location showcases innovative cutting and joining technology, as well as suitable manufacturing and assembly processes. The exhibits include laser and welding machines, among other things.

The fifth hall is dedicated to pressing and forming. The systems on display there are used for tube bending and hot forming, for example. Suitable feeding systems round off this technology field.

More about M.A.D.E. at SIMTOS

M.A.D.E. at SIMTOS (Manufacturing Automation & Digital Engineering) is a platform that brings together innovations for smart manufacturing and new industrial paradigms. In Halls 7 and 8, modern manufacturing infrastructures will be presented in the context of practical demonstrations. These include AI-based process control, digital twins, IIoT, cloud and edge computing, intelligent logistics, 3D printing, engineering software, MES, CPS, and applications from the fields of machine learning, deep learning, and digital energy management.
