Arburg welcomed around 4,000 guests from 44 countries to its headquarters in Lossburg from March 19 to 21 for Technology Days 2025. With more than 40 exhibits and a strong focus on digitalisation, automation, and sustainability, the company reinforced its position as a comprehensive solution partner for the plastics industry.

A central attraction was the Arburg Solution world, where visitors explored practical tools and services aimed at increasing production efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Live demonstrations highlighted how systems like the Arburg ALS host computer and Arburg X world portal can help address challenges such as skilled labor shortages and energy consumption.

Product highlights included the Allrounder 720 E Golden Electric, a cost-effective electric injection moulding machine, and the Multilift Select 4, a compact linear robotic system designed for entry-level automation. The newly introduced Arburg Flow Pilot offers precise temperature control for moulds and promises energy and cycle time savings.

In the dedicated automation zone, visitors saw the full range of robotic systems and turnkey applications, including a live demo using integrated robots to pack fries into trays. Guests could also test six-axis robot programming and explore cube technology applications.

Recycling and alternative materials were another highlight, with demonstrations of components made from marine plastic, paper fibres, eggshells, and other sustainable materials. In the medical sector, exhibits included cleanroom-compatible systems for manufacturing biopolymer-based syringe plungers and functional centrifuge tubes.

Arburg’s additive manufacturing line was on display, including the Freeformer 550-3X and Innovatiq’s TiQ 8 and Liq 5 printers. A dedicated service zone showcased the company’s complete lifecycle support, from machine “health checks” to retrofitting and software updates.

According to Arburg, the success of the event reflects a strong spirit of innovation and collaboration heading into a major trade fair year. “The Technology Days 2025 exceeded our positive expectations and were a great success,” summarised Juliane Hehl, Managing Partner Global Marketing and Business Development at Arburg.
