Formnext 2015 Additive technologies and toolmaking under one roof
Germany - With 213 exhibitors, Formnext powered by TCT will fill Frankfurt’s Hall 3.1. From 17 to 20 November 2015, visitors will have the opportunity to explore what’s new in additive manufacturing and toolmaking. We spoke to Sascha Wenzler, VP of organiser Mesago.
ETMM: Sascha, what were the biggest hurdles when you think back on the past few months and what motivated you and your team the most to keep your eyes on the ball. What goals did you want to achieve at this premiere event?
Sascha Wenzler: Our entire team had the aim right from the beginning to establish a new, innovative trade fair platform with Formnext. That requires a lot of rebuilding and detail work including discussions with exhibitors and sector experts. We have presented the trade fair on several continents and received a great response. The fact that we have had great support in the sector has helped us a lot. Our goal is especially important: We want to create an information platform for visitors like no other event, wherein new possibilities for product development and production emerge from a combination of additive and conventional technologies. This idea has excited us right from the beginning.
ETMM: What goals do you want to achieve at the premiere event?
Wenzler: It has been important to us right from the beginning to provide a very high quality among exhibitors, which we succeeded in doing in toolmaking and with the world elite of the additive industry and other globally known companies. With our special events of Audi toolmaking and materials as well as the conference, we will make Frankfurt the world forum of modern product development. So far, I can safely say that we have achieved our goals for the premiere.
