More than a reason to celebrate: The company recently had its 25th anniversary and took the opportunity to look back at what made Open Mind the company it is today.
Open Mind Technologies AG held the international Sales & Tech Symposium for its employees and resellers from 14–16 May 2019. Alongside new information conveyed at the event, there was also much cause for celebration, as Open Mind is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Over 370 guests from around the world made the most of the opportunity to network and exchange information regarding the latest developments of its hypermill CAM and hypercad-S CAD software.
On top of a series of lectures, an artistic performance in which a musician played an electronic violin that was programmed using hypermill and milled from a block of material, was among the highlights of the show.
“Open Mind continues to be a pioneer and has proven itself to be optimally positioned thanks to its cutting-edge technologies. We support the integration of additive manufacturing processes and progressive process automation in terms of Industry 4.0 with our solutions. An example of this is our hypermill Virtual Machining Center.
“The Connected Machining function allows hypermill to be networked and synchronised directly with the machine, enabling us to facilitate the best possible exchange of information between the generation and execution of programs,” explains Dr Josef Koch, CTO at Open Mind, during the kick-off to the symposium on the Conference Day. Volker Nesenhöner, CEO at Open Mind, took the opportunity to thank his employees for the company’s success in his opening speech: “Behind every major invention are the people who come up with the solutions. Our employees and colleagues are the most important thing to us at Open Mind. Your dedication to innovation is the key to our success. We make a great team, and I’d like to thank you all for that reason.”
