End of June saw the Arburg subsidiary in Belgium celebrate its 25th anniversary with around 50 invited guests and a high-ranking delegation from the parent company.
Managing Partner Renate Keinath presented the anniversary sculpture to the subsidiary manager, Simon Bemong and his team at the evening event in San Marco Village, Schelle. Together with Gerhard Böhm, managing director sales, she thanked them and the Belgian customers for 25 successful years.
In her speech, Keinath said: "The fact that we are able to celebrate this silver anniversary here today is thanks to our committed Arburg team and to our customers. Without you, we wouldn't be what we are today - a market leader and recognised number one in the area of customer service in Belgium." She looked back at the milestones and the successful development of the subsidiary under the management of Bemong.
Böhm commented on the first-class customer service in Belgium and presented the company's new products, noting the new Arburg brand promise, "Wir sind da." "This expresses the fact that we are always present, wherever the customer may be – in geographical, technological, mental or physical terms.” He then introduced the Golden Electric range of electric machines, which, the company says, combines high-quality technology with a good price/performance ratio.
The festive jubilee event was rounded off by musical performances and a multi-course dinner.
Continuous portfolio expansion
Arburg's activities in Belgium began in the early 1960s and culminated in the establishment of a fully owned subsidiary in Holsbeek in 1992.
The subsidiary's location in the Brussels metropolitan area means that all parts of the country are within easy reach. Moreover, Belgium's high-tech region with numerous plastics processing companies is located in the north-west of the country. Bemong, who had previously worked for trading partner D.V.G., took over the management of the subsidiary, therefore, providing an expert in charge right from the outset – one who was highly familiar with both the Arburg technology and the customers. Together with his team, he continuously expanded the offerings for Arburg customers in Belgium. The hotline provides prompt assistance on the phone support and the service technicians are quickly at hand to find solutions and also to perform preventive maintenance tasks on-site. All employees speak at least four languages and seminars and training courses in the company are available in English, French, Flemish and German as well, which include application-oriented, machine and maintenance courses, through to customer-specific training.
