India – This year, the Asian Machine Tool Exhibition (Amtex), witnessed the presence of nearly 150 senior delegates and displayed the latest technological innovations of the machine tool industry.
Amtex 2017, the biennial international exhibition held in Mumbai, catering to the machine tool needs of production and consumption hotspots, took place from 12 - 15 April at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. The event witnessed the presence of nearly 150 senior delegates and displayed the latest technological innovations of the machine tool industry. The event emphasised on the prodigious move of demonetisation that India accepted this year.
Apart from multiple exhibitors from India, the event also saw incredible participation from countries such as China, Japan, and Taiwan among others. The machine tools exhibition promises a premium confluence of: Incredibly lucrative business opportunities, futuristic technologies, national and international participants. It primarily focused on end-user industries such as automotive, power and electrical equipment, textile machinery and consumer goods. Industry experts estimate India’s manufacturing sector to touch US$1 trillion by 2025 accounting for 25-30% of the country’s GDP and also creating millions of jobs in the offing.
Some of the major companies that participated in the event this year are Accurate Cutting Systems Pvt. Ltd, Faro Business Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Sahajanand Laser Technology Ltd. (SLTL) and Ratnaparkhi Electronics Industries Pvt. Ltd.
