Tool manufacturer Sandvik Coromant has announced it will focus on automation on their presence at EMO Hanover 2017. According to the company, “the future of machining and production” will be în the centre of their presentation on a 528 m² booth.
The motto that the company chose for its presentation will be “Together we shape the future of manufacturing – Let‘s connect!” In line with this concept, Sandvik Coromant wants to offer new digital solutions and enable the connection of processes with the aim of increasing profitability. For achieving that goal, the company wants to bring 40 specialists to its booth to answer questions on the trends in machining.
One highlight will be the company's Prime Tuning method and its corresponding Coro Turn Prime turning tools. The latter are the industry's first solution for turning in all directions improving flexibility and tool life, the company claims.
Another focus at Sandvik Coromant's booth is on the developments of the Coro Plus solutions made ready for Industry 4.0, as the company says. They are said to link-up the different process steps operations planning, process planning and machining as well as an extended production analysis in order to secure a more profitable and sustainable production.
“Digitalisation is transforming our world and the manufacturing industry is no exception. We at Sandvik Coromant want to use the opportunities this transformation has to offer in the best interest of our customers and make these opportunities available to them. Our goal is to tap the full potential of digitalisation with the help of new innovative ideas and intelligent concepts,” says Nadine Crauwels, President Sandvik Coromant.
